Stop guessing! Use this formula to read greens πŸ‘‡

If you're struggling to read greens you need to learn this process.

Ralph shared a simple formula that combines putt distance and slope percentage, and it’s been a game changer for meβ€”I've used it on every putt since.

⛳️ Putting formula that has changed my putting routine:

In our latest video with Ralph Bauer he taught a simple formula that can easily show you exactly where to aim.

Big thanks to Ralph Bauer for sharing all this info. Definitely check out his app! Really useful for learning the system and working on practicing green reading.

Here's what I've been doing over every putt.

Step 1 - Pace off the putt.

Step 2 - (Number of Paces * 2) - 1

Step 3 - That number tells you how far from the center of the hole the put will break on a 1% slope.

Step 4 - Look at the point 2/3 of the way from the ball to hole and determine the slope.

**Example Calculation**: If the putt is 5 paces and the slope is 1%, the break would be (5 * 2) - 1 = 9 inches.

If the slope is 2%, the break is 9 * 2 = 18 inches.

You probably have questions like...

What if it's uphill, downhill, greens are faster than normal, grain, double breaker... etc.

To find those answers you'll have to check out the vid :)

Hope you all had a great Christmas! I wanted to share about some recent travels and content coming soon. I’ve always been a fan of the way Ping shares their research. It's something they definitely don't have to do (and most other companies don't). Over the years, Dr. Paul Wood, VP of Engineering at Ping has been kind enough to join the podcast and collaborate on videos. So, when the opportunity came up to visit Ping HQ and dive deeper into their work, I jumped at the chance. I wanted to see...
