How I hit it 342 yds

The Road to 180 has helped me gain speed.

My clubhead speed is up. I can now hit 120mph+ in every speed training without as much work as it used to take.

And based on last weeks poll it sounds like a lot of you are as well.

BUT...

I wasn't hitting it that much farther.

Just a few weeks ago I fixed that.

This is the most eye opening driver fitting you've ever seen.

Most advanced tech in a driver shaft?!

I’ve been playing a TPT shaft in my driver for the last 5 years, and nothing else I’ve tried comes close to its stability!

What sets TPT shafts apart is their super lightweight design and low torque, allowing for more flex without sacrificing control.

It’s not just golf techβ€”TPT brings innovation straight from the world of high-performance sailing yachts and Formula 1 cars.

πŸ“–βŒ Higher than 1.5 smash factor?!

I just got over 180 ball speed for the first time!!

I was pumped.

But something seemed wrong.

I had a 1.51 and 1.52 smash factor on those shots.

And when I posted a video on Twitter some people called me out on those numbers.

That doesn't make sense?!

It didn't make sense to me either so I had immediately reached out to Nick over at Skytrak to try and understand what's happening here.

And it's totally logical.

Different parts of a driver head travel at different speeds.

The toe of the driver is moving faster than the center and heel of the club.

A launch monitor has to chose what it's measuring... And it's pretty obvious they'd measure the center of that club.

So how do you get a 1.52 smash factor. Hit it out of the toe and the actual CHS will be higher then the measured.

However the ball speed is going to be accurate.

This type of hit will leave you scratching your head trying to figure out why you have a 1.51 or 1.52 smash factor.

πŸ§ͺ Cool stuff to check out

  • My new go to launch monitor game is from Pinseeker. You can now play it on Skytrak. It's kind of like a daily fantasy game. You get a specific shot to a par 3 and 3-5 shots to hit it as close as possible. And then you compete against other people from all over the world for money :) It's really easy to use. Super addicting and fun.

  • FIRST REVEAL: You can spot Bryson's new driver head he's making with LA Golf in Grant Horvat's video.
  • I'd get some 007 grips. Cool collab here.

  • If you haven't subscribed to the Normal Sport newsletter you should. They've just gone all in and Kyle has launched it as a full time business. Check out the past week of incredible content.

Golf season feels like it's officially over in my neck of the woods. Nothing but good memories from the 2024 season. Rewarding in the fact that I played more tournaments than ever before.
