Here's why I'm struggling!

We finally got to the root cause of what might be holding back from hitting my speed goals.

Took a full 3d analysis and physical screening. Now it's time to put in some work. Check it out πŸ‘‡

⭐️ Interesting ideas from the week:

  • Ludvig's bunker practice is epic. It might take me a week to accomplish this.
  • Started reading the new Tiger book from James Patterson. Some good unique stories weaved throughout I haven't heard. Worth picking up.
  • Creator Classic was a good watch yesterday. Never been more impressed than what we saw from Roger Steele's speed and accuracy. 🀯

πŸ’ͺ Mark Crossfield's fitness hack:

When I asked Mark how he got faster he mentioned getting stronger was key.

But he hates the gym.

I relate.

So he create habits that encouraged it. This is the best simple concept I've heard and been able to implement.

Every time you go to the bathroom.

Go do push ups.

✈️ Last week's trip recap:

Went down to Dallas to spend a couple days with Jon Sinclair. He's a top coach, 3d expert, club fitting expert, and great guy.

What I take away is he's a coach who looks at every aspect of someones game to help them get better.

That's led him to become world class at club fitting, 3d, putting, research on wedges, etc...

All in the pursuit of getting his players better.

We started out by filming an epic club fitting.

I have used a TPT shaft for the last 5-6 years and reached out to them because I knew it was time with the new speed to get into a new set up.

So I now have a new TPT Nitro 16lo shaft and a Ping G430 LST.

(I was in a TPT Power series 16hi and Ping G400)

My launch angle and spins dramatically improved. And we went from a 46inch to 45.5 to improve contact and ball speed.

My speed is actually turning into distance now πŸ˜ƒ

Thank you to the folks at TPT for setting this up. They have a great product that I've used for years now.

PGA Tour player Paul Barjon came out the second morning and we had some fun.

He was asking about my road to 180 and he ended up trying to hit 190 for the first time πŸ˜‚

He made it look effortless!

Watch the vid here

We also spent some time looking at 3d analysis and he shared some more thoughts on the road to 180.

And we wrapped up the day talking about his wedge research.

He captured 3d and launch monitor info on the top 50 in the world for around 8 years and shared everything he learned.

His data has been tied up in the great steep vs shallow wedge debate going on so was fun to talk through that.

All videos are in the edit que! Some really good stuff!!!

Thank you to Jon for the awesome hospitality.

We almost didn't make it in that 110 humid Dallas heat but we pressed through and had some Terry Black's BBQ and checked out the grassy knoll.

The full Dallas experience. Great trip!

Till next time,

-Cordie

Hope you all had a great Christmas! I wanted to share about some recent travels and content coming soon. I’ve always been a fan of the way Ping shares their research. It's something they definitely don't have to do (and most other companies don't). Over the years, Dr. Paul Wood, VP of Engineering at Ping has been kind enough to join the podcast and collaborate on videos. So, when the opportunity came up to visit Ping HQ and dive deeper into their work, I jumped at the chance. I wanted to see...
